 Mother Kibela is a protecting deity for Thracians, Hittites, Lydians…etc. old civilizations. She is Mother of the Mountains and Mistress of the Land, Mother Nature. Later the Greeks and Romans took the idea of Kibela as the Mother of the Gods.
We named the project Kibela Destinations, in honour of the Thracian Goddess Kibele, whose temple was found on a peninsula of Durankulak Lake, next to the village of Krapetz, North East of Bulgaria, 100 km North from Varna and the Varna International airport.
 We decided to give the name of Kibela to our project as a very appropriate one to underline and promote the concept of special interests tourism developments. We followed the forecasts of futurists, like the predictions of Lidewij Edelkoort, a trend forecaster at Studio Edelkoort in Paris, that the life will slow down, leisure time will increase, and people will be categorized by rather how do they spend their free time than what do they do at work.
Special interests tourism related to nature, ecology and sports, culture and history of the Coastal Dobrudja Area has an internationally recognised potential. This was the reason for EU to grant 300 000 Euro this year for exhibition of the archaeological monuments, related to Kibela's temple and the ancient Hamandji civilisation - Lake Town (older than Egyptian, Sumerian, Phoenician, Israeli, Shan-Yin (China) on the Durankulak lake). Durankulak lake is a protected area under RAMSAR convention, a wet zone on the Via Pontika road of the migration of birds.
Basic Philosophy for the Products' Offer
 Local knowledge is the cell for global understanding. Dobrudja offers blaze landscape, rich by antiquity, stubborn and conservative, but passionate. Color is sleepily sunflower yellow. Completely voiceless. It is an undulate land - plants, animals, people sway the same way.
The Black Sea coast of the Dobrudja region is a unique place for those, who are questioning themselves about their life style and whether they are satisfied with their contact with the Nature. The region is a place, which offers a true pleasure to those who opt for differences. You can see, while laying on the beach (if you have time for that) a pair of dolphin lovers some 30 meters away from you…You will never forget this…
 The region itself looks poor - no industry in the whole area. The international road, taking you to the border is the only good one; the rest are country roads, appropriate for riding, biking and photo safaris, taking you to different wonderful scenery places. There is no mass tourism infrastructure development - no casinos! But maybe this is the magic of the place - a silence, which you can "hear", birds' songs, no crowd, fifteen kilometers "golden sand" dunes and beaches, where you can find a place of your own. A big variety of Black Sea fishes and sweet water fishes from the lakes, crabs, etc. makes your table different every day. All this, brought to your doorstep by a fisherman, who caught the fish in the Morning, still alive…
Indeed, when you look through the poverty, you find a beautiful region with unique culture and nature. It is a perfect place to develop sustainable tourism. The Black Sea has a magnificent coastline with the best quality sandy beaches and dunes (22% of the sand of the Black Sea coast from Turkey to Romania is concentrated there!), rocks with caves, surrounded by steppes and arable fields. It is a rich place for birdwatchers, people interested in ancient history, archeological diving, those interested in Thracian culture, Greek, Byzantine, Bulgarian, Turkish, etc. cultural heritage.
 The area is a place, where one can be protected from the harsh, unpredictable realities of the "big" world and satisfy a little the nostalgia for the carefree childhood in familiar pursuits and products of their youth. The sterile computer era will be far away.
The area offers unique experience. A land, where there is an enormous amount of pristine countryside, away from big resorts. An exciting protected area in the neighbourhood on the Durankulak Lake, one of the richest biodiversities in Europe.
A few thoughts :
New age wave: computer revolution will be followed by an age of consciousness revolution and spiritual revolution. New age believes in the essential goodness of Man. Reality is organically one. Self evolution is the only means to change others. Human evolution can be accelerated, if not in the entire mass of humanity, at least in suitable individuals.
Fantasy Adventure: The modern age whets our desire for roads undertaken. 99 lives. Too fast a pace, too little time to understand what is going on…It is about to cause societal schizophrenia and forces us to assume multiple roles and to adapt easily.
SOS - Save Our Society! - We are to re-discover a social conscience of ethics, passion and compassion. Stresses-out consumers will indulge in affordable luxury and find a way to reward themselves.
The Vigilante Consumer: The awareness that good health means healthy bard leads to a new way of life. The bard, which is to be served, is to be prepared from ingredients, which have not been frozen before cooking. The meat and eggs will come from organic farms and the vegetables - from gardens without pesticides.
"The Dramatic Personage" are the visitors who want to have answers to the question: "Do we know, what will be tomorrow?"
Organizing special discussions on philosophical, historical, cultural life style and other matters of "Today" and "The Future" will encourage personal statements. A Kibela local 'Through the Looking-Glass" Journal will be issued.
